Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris has approved N650 million for the procurement and installation of a 15MVA power transformer to address persistent electricity shortages across the state.
The approval was announced by Secretary to the State Government Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida during a media briefing in Birnin Kebbi on January 2, 2026.
The intervention targets hardships faced by residents due to epileptic power supply affecting households, businesses, and public services.
