Fuji music icon Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1, has been appointed by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) as an ambassador for airport security awareness.
The appointment follows recent events in which the musician was involved in a dispute at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, leading to a flight ban and a criminal complaint filed by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, SAN, said the decision came after KWAM 1 publicly expressed remorse over the incident. “Having publicly demonstrated penitence, the NCAA will withdraw its criminal complaint against KWAM 1,” Keyamo announced.
