Kwara State Government has mandated the registration of all Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) beneficiaries with the Kwara State Residents Registration Agency (KWASRRA), effective immediately.
The state government said the directive aims to ensure targeted access to social investment opportunities through the establishment of an accurate and credible database of beneficiaries.
The announcement was made in a press statement issued on Wednesday by Abdulwasiu Tejidini, General Manager of KWASSIP.
According to the statement, registration will enable proper planning and social inclusion by providing unique State Security Identification (SSID) numbers and cards to all registered residents.

These SSID cards will serve as official identification during the social investment process and the disbursement of government funds.
The state government further emphasised that any beneficiary without an SSID number will no longer be eligible to receive financial incentives or benefits from the government.
The registration exercise is open to all citizens and residents of Kwara State.
The state government warned the public that this mandatory registration is crucial for both security and economic planning.
They urged residents to cooperate fully with the exercise for the benefit of effective, data-driven governance and the general wellbeing of the people.
