Kwara govt to host 3MTT cohort 2 graduation, hackathon

Kwara State is preparing to host the 3 Million Technical Talents (3MTT) Cohort 2 Graduation and Hackathon on Saturday at the Kwara State Library Complex Hall in Ilorin.

The event will celebrate the graduation of the second cohort of talented individuals who have completed an intensive training programme aimed at developing technical skills in areas such as coding, data science, and digital technology.

The 3MTT initiative is a national programme supported by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, with Kwara State taking an active role in promoting the initiative.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has championed the programme’s success, which is part of his broader effort to boost digital innovation and transform Kwara into a hub for technology and innovation.

During the event, the 3MTT fellows will present their innovative solutions to real-world problems in a Hackathon format, showcasing their readiness to contribute to the digital economy.

Governor AbdulRazaq expressed his strong support for the programme, emphasising its role in building a pool of tech-savvy talent that will drive the state’s future growth.

“The future of Kwara lies in the hands of our young innovators,” Governor AbdulRazaq remarked, commending the graduates for their hard work and dedication.

He encouraged them to continue honing their skills and contributing to the state’s digital economy.

The theme for the event, “Driving Tech Innovation in Kwara,” highlights the state’s commitment to nurturing a thriving tech ecosystem.

The graduation and Hackathon will feature speeches from prominent tech experts, including Bosun Tijani, the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, and Damilola Yusuf Adelodun, Kwara State Commissioner for Business, Innovation, and Technology.

The event will also provide an opportunity for local tech entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and policymakers to come together and discuss the future of digital innovation in Kwara State.

The state government invites the public, stakeholders, and tech enthusiasts to join in celebrating the accomplishments of the 3MTT fellows and witness the future of tech innovation in Kwara.
