The commissioner commended the executive leadership, management, and investors of the resort for recognising and exploiting the massive potential of the state’s natural coastal assets.

She reiterated that the state government remains fully committed to fostering an enabling environment for responsible private enterprises that generate local employment and support sustainable growth.

“Tourism is no longer just about leisure; it is a powerful economic driver. It creates jobs, stimulates small businesses, and supports hospitality, entertainment, arts, culture, and transportation,” Benson-Awoyinka noted.

“Destinations like Nautica Beach Resort help us unlock these opportunities.”

Declaring the venue open to local and international visitors, she added that the integrated lifestyle ecosystem proves Nigeria possesses the internal capacity to establish world-class destinations that can compete favorably on the global stage.

Ambition into reality

In his address, the Founder and Chairman of Nautica Beach Resort, Adetoro Bank-Omotoye, described the successful completion of the resort as the realization of a highly ambitious blueprint.

He explained that the location was conceptualised to serve as an administrative and social hub where business, investment, lifestyle, and culture seamlessly converge.

Bank-Omotoye attributed the project’s success to the effective execution of public-private synergy, praising various government agencies for maintaining the regulatory collaboration that allowed the private enterprise to invest with confidence.

“Nautica is visible proof that vision, when pursued with discipline, determination, and persistence, can become reality,” Bank-Omotoye stated.

“When the government creates an enabling environment, private enterprises can invest with vision and integrity, leading to sustainable growth and shared prosperity.”

The chairman invited prospective international investors and Nigerians in the diaspora to leverage the expanding commercial windows within the Nautica ecosystem, particularly across the tourism, hospitality, and premium real estate sectors, to further boost national economic development.
