Nigerian singer and entrepreneur, Oluwatosin Ajibade, better known as Mr Eazi, has admitted that the earnings from his music career were not enough to finance his wedding to actress and fashion entrepreneur Temi Otedola.
Temi, the daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, tied the knot with Mr Eazi in a private ceremony in Iceland, with only close family and friends in attendance. The wedding stirred excitement on social media, with fans celebrating the high-profile union.
The revelation came after a fan on X (formerly Twitter) suggested that Mr Eazi’s recent release, Cassanova, was a way to recoup the funds spent on the wedding. Responding humorously, the ‘Leg Over’ crooner dismissed the claim, saying:
“U think sey music go fit pay for that wedding my G? lol.”

Another user argued that his music income from 2018 should have been enough to cover the wedding costs. Mr Eazi explained that, despite releasing some of his biggest hits during that period, it was financially his lowest point in almost a decade.
“You got a point tho, but 2017-18 is the brokest I’ve been in the last 9 years! But all the music I put out then enter like mad sha, I’m really thankful,” he replied.
The couple’s relationship, which began several years ago, has remained one of Nigeria’s most talked-about celebrity love stories. Mr Eazi once shared that he met Temi through her sister, Florence Otedola (DJ Cuppy), a longtime friend. Their engagement in London in April 2022 was widely reported, leading up to the much-discussed Iceland ceremony.
