Peaks and valleys but Leicester smile at last

For majority of the season, Leicester were top of the Championship table. However, the club slumped, experiencing a dip in form. The side lost six games out of 10 between February and April, leaving them in a quite compromising position.

African quartet, Iheanacho, Ndidi, Fatawu Issahaku, and Patson Daka played instrumental roles in helping Leicester City regain promotion a year after being relegated from the Premier League.

The side were also hit with a charge for allegedly breaching the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules. This means Leicester could face a points deduction next season.

In March, the Foxes said they were taking legal action against the Premier League and EFL. This is as a result of being charged with those alleged breaches.

To get themselves back on track and claim promotion, recent wins against West Bromwich Albion and Southampton catapulted them back to the top of the league. With Premier League promotion sealed and delivered, Leicester City will now focus solely on winning the Championship title.
