Netflix has once again adjusted its subscription rates in Nigeria, marking the third time the streaming platform has done so in less than 12 months.
This latest increase is the first for the year 2025.
News Round The Clock gathered from Netflix’s website that the new monthly rates have taken effect.
Under the revised pricing, the Premium plan now costs ₦8,500, up from ₦7,000. The Standard plan has been adjusted from ₦5,500 to ₦6,500, while the Basic plan is now ₦4,000, a step up from ₦3,500. The Mobile plan, which previously cost ₦2,200, now goes for ₦2,500.
Prior to this, Netflix raised its prices in both April and July 2024.
These price changes come at a time when Nigerians are grappling with a worsening economic situation characterized by rising living costs, persistent inflation, and a weakening naira.

Similarly, MultiChoice, the company behind DStv and GOtv, announced updated pricing that took effect on March 1, 2025. According to the announcement, the DStv Compact bouquet moved from ₦15,700 to ₦19,000. The Compact Plus option rose from ₦25,000 to ₦30,000, while the Premium package increased from ₦37,000 to ₦44,500.
GOtv subscribers have also seen upward revisions: the Jinja package now costs ₦3,900 (previously ₦3,600), the Jolli plan rose to ₦5,800 from ₦4,850, GOtv Max increased to ₦8,500 from ₦7,200, Supa climbed to ₦11,400 from ₦9,600, and Supa Plus now stands at ₦16,800, up from ₦15,700.
Netflix has not yet issued an official statement addressing its most recent price increase in the Nigerian market.
