The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has expressed its condolences to the government and people of Zamfara State following a tragic road explosion that claimed the lives of six individuals.

The explosion, which occurred on a road in the state, was reportedly caused by a local terrorist group, and the NGF has strongly condemned the attack.

The NGF in a statement by its Chairman and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Friday extended his condolences to Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State and the families of the victims.

“We deplore this cowardly act, which is a direct attack on innocent civilians, and we stand in full support of the Nigerian military’s efforts to eliminate these violent, criminal elements,” the NGF said.

The Forum called for enhanced vigilance and urged the public to promptly report any suspicious activities to the authorities to prevent further incidents.

Governor AbdulRazaq prayed for the souls of the deceased and strength to the bereaved families.

He reiterated NGF’s commitment to working with all security agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of Nigerians, particularly in regions affected by terrorism and violence.

He emphasised the importance of collective action and vigilance in the fight against terrorism and criminality, calling on all Nigerians to remain united in the face of these challenges.
