Nigerians sign petition to ban ‘Marlian Music Label’ following death of Mohbad

Nigerians on the microblogging site, X (formerly known as Twitter) have called for the eradication and boycotting of the infamous record label, Marlian Music following the demise of 27-year-old rapper, Mohbad.

It would be recalled that the rapper, Mohbad whose real name is Ilerioluwa Aloba who was previously signed to Marlian Music label owned by controversial artiste, Naira Marley died on Tuesday, September 12.

Following numerous videos of threats and bullying of the late artiste that surfaced on social media, netizens have pointed accusing fingers on the Marlian record boss, claiming he is affiliated with the sudden demise of the rapper.

Prior to the ‘KPK’ crooner’s shocking demise earlier in the week, he was involved in continuous feud with Naira Marley and other members of the Marlian Music record label since he decided to leave in 2022. Mohbad had accused Naira Marley of physically abusing and claiming he was assaulted by nefarious young men who are affiliated with the record label.

The police on Thursday revealed that they are investigating Mohbadā€™s demise. However, infuriated fans have started signing a petition to ban the late singerā€™s former record label, Marlian Music. The petition has garnered over 50,000 signatures as of the time of filing this report.

The rapper died on Tuesday, September 12 after reportedly suffering from a ear ailment.
