Nigerian singer, Afeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, is requesting a public apology from Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, citing accusations of defamation and libel.
In a stern stance, Naira Marley has conveyed a threat to initiate legal proceedings against Ojo, seeking a substantial sum of N500 million in damages should the actress fail to issue the requested apology.
In a letter sent to Ojo by Naira Marley’s legal representative, Olalekan Ojo, emphasized the necessity for an apology to be disseminated on her official Instagram account and featured in prominent national daily newspapers.
The correspondence from Naira Marley’s lawyer underscored the specific allegations made in a September 2023 post, wherein the actress accused the artiste of being involved in both spiritual and physical dealings with the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad.

Moreover, the lawyer asserted that the actress accused Naira Marley of causing mental harm to Mohbad, whom he referred to as a brother.
According to Naira Marley’s lawyer, failure to adhere to the condition placed before her would force them to file a lawsuit against her.
