Nollywood actor Abimbola Kazeem, widely known as Jigan Babaoja, has opened up about how he developed a resilient mindset in the face of body shaming and physical disability.
Speaking in a recent interview with Oyinmomo TV, the actor recounted his early experiences with ridicule and mockery, revealing that he began to emotionally detach from the hurtful comments as early as age eight.
“What happened is I have taken these things off my mind,” he said. “I do not know if I have an injury on my leg. The only time I know I am living with disability is when I look into the mirror.”
Jigan, who gained widespread popularity following his viral “So Mo Age Mi” challenge in 2018, stressed that he no longer sees himself as disabled. He mentioned his ability to engage in physical activities such as running, jumping, and playing football—actions that many may not expect of someone living with a physical condition.

In an honest and bold declaration, he said, “Even when it comes to sexual intercourse, I do better than a two-legged person.” He urged others living with disabilities to find strength in their differences, adding, “My advice to people like me is that they should observe my life. Before you abuse me, I would have abused myself. There is nothing anyone can say to me that would pain me.”
Over the years, Jigan has not only carved a name for himself in the entertainment industry but has also taken deliberate steps to educate his children about his condition, ensuring they understand and can cope with any related stigma. He encouraged others with similar experiences to draw inspiration from his journey, highlighting the importance of embracing one’s uniqueness and turning personal challenges into motivation.
