Artificial intelligence dominated international entertainment and policy headlines during the week, NRTC WEEKLY learnt. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman accepted an invitation to address an open session of the United Nations Security Council in New York, where he was expected to discuss AI safety, risk management and global governance.
The diplomatic engagement coincided with major developments in the entertainment industry. The Walt Disney Company appointed former Character.AI CEO Karandeep Anand as its first Chief Technology Officer to oversee its global data and artificial intelligence platforms.
