The National Sports Commission (NSC) has congratulated Rangers International Football Club on winning the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title, praising the Flying Antelopes for their composure and championship character.
In a post shared on its official account, the Commission described Rangers’ dramatic final‑day victory over Ikorodu City in Lagos as a historic achievement, noting that the club secured a record ninth league crown after edging Rivers United FC in one of the closest title races in recent NPFL history.
The Commission commended Rangers’ management led by CEO Amobi Ezeaku, the technical crew, players, supporters, and the Enugu State Government under Governor Peter Mbah for sustaining one of Nigeria’s most historic football institutions.

It also applauded Rivers United for their remarkable campaign and wished both clubs success as they prepare to represent Nigeria in next season’s CAF Champions League.
According to the statement, the NSC assured stakeholders with a pledge that, under the RHINSE framework, it will continue to provide support and ensure credible participation in continental competitions.
