Okpebholo flags off 9.6km road rehabilitation in Auchi, Igarra, Ibillo

Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has commenced emergency palliative work on several critical federal roads in the Edo North Senatorial District to improve safety and accessibility for residents.

Okpebholo flagged off the project, which will cover more than 9.6 kilometres of road networks in and around Auchi, Igarra, Aiyetoro, and Ibillo.

Okpebholo stated that this initiative reflects his administration’s commitment to providing safer and more accessible roads for all citizens.

He emphasised that a robust road infrastructure is essential for economic growth and that the state is working in close partnership with the Federal Government to restore vital routes across the Edo North, Central, and South senatorial districts.

“Road infrastructure is the backbone of economic growth, and we are working closely with the Federal Government to restore key routes across Edo North, Central, and South Senatorial Districts,” Okpebholo said.

The governor further highlighted his administration’s goal to repair as many roads as possible throughout the state, to ease the lives of residents, fostering business growth, and keeping communities connected through an improved road network.

The flag-off of these palliative works marks a significant step in the state’s effort to address long-standing infrastructure challenges.
