Olympic Taekwondo icon Jade Jones announces boxing arrival with devastating knockout

Jade Jones makes boxing debut with knockout victory.

Two-time Olympic champion Jade Jones made a sensational start to her boxing career after the Welsh star secured a second-round knockout against Egypt Criss in Derby.

Jones dominated early exchanges with sharp movement and quick combinations, as her pressure soon overwhelmed Criss inside the ring.

Three powerful left hooks dropped her opponent during the second round. As a result, the referee waved the contest off moments later.

Taekwondo legend begins bold pursuit of world titles in two combat sports

Jones captured Olympic gold medals at 2012 London Olympics and 2016 Rio Olympics. However, she left taekwondo last year seeking a new challenge. The 32-year-old now trains with former professional boxer Stephen Smith at Liverpool’s renowned 4 Corners Gym.
