The 49-year-old said his principal, Atiku Abubakar would have done the same thing if he had been inaugurated as Nigeria’s president.

Reacting to Nigeria’s complaints about the removal, he stated that all presidential candidates in the just concluded February 25th election vowed to remove the subsidy, except Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

“I’m not too fond of Tinubu’s past as a cartel member. However, on this, he is correct, and I support fuel subsidy removal unequivocally. This is the time for patriotism. Let us pursue our case to right the wrongs of the #NigerianElections2023. But until the courts render a final judgment, let us praise where necessary and oppose appropriately.

“Subsidy removal of the right move. I support It. We would have done the same thing tf Waziri Atiku Abubakar had been inaugurated today. It is a bold move, and I urge all opposition parties to be patriotic and support subsidy removal while we vigorously and zealously pursue our case to unseat President Bola Tinubu democratically.”
