Ondo State Commissioner for Water Resources, Public Sanitation, and Hygiene, Sunday Akinwalire, has announced that Governor Lucky Aiyedtiwa’s administration is set to provide clean water to 500,000 households, benefiting approximately 2 million people.
Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting in Akure on Tuesday, Mr Akinwalire praised the governor’s dedication to addressing the long-standing issue of inadequate potable water supply in the state.
He stated: “For over 30 years, our communities have struggled with insufficient access to clean water. Today, with the governor’s approval, we are tackling this challenge directly. This project will greatly enhance the quality of life for our citizens.

“Our goal is to provide clean water to 500,000 households and roughly 2 million people. This is an enormous undertaking, but we are fully prepared to see it through.”
