The singer-songwriter was called out by social media users and pundits for chasing clout.

Days after the incident, another musician, Iyanya made a snide remark on his Twitter account where he subtly dubbed Oxlade “fake”.

Taking to X on Thursday, Iyanya wrote,

“When you are fake, you will post a screenshot of how you ā€œRestrictedā€ a good guy on sm.
Told you one day the ā€œfakeā€ in you will be televised.”
