The Oyo State House of Assembly has given its approval to Governor Seyi Makinde’s request to appoint a new consultant, Tiaras White Consults Ltd, for Project Gazelle. This decision follows the disengagement of the previous consulting firm, ODG Professional Services.
The Governor’s request was detailed in a letter dated April 15, 2025, and was formally presented during Tuesday’s plenary session by the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin. The lawmakers unanimously supported the proposal.
In his letter to the Assembly, Governor Makinde stated that the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) had raised concerns about transparency, equity, and accountability in the disbursement of funds to states and local governments under the project.
He explained that the Oyo State Executive Council approved the appointment of Tiaras White Consults Ltd to protect the state’s interests and to carry out fund reconciliation, recovery, and advisory services related to Project Gazelle.
