Oyo State SUBEB reschedules teachers’ recruitment interviews to honor Isese Day

Estimated reading time: 2 minutes

The Oyo State government, through the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), has announced a minor change to the schedule for its ongoing teachers’ recruitment interviews.

Originally planned for Tuesday, August 20, 2024, the interviews have now been shifted to Monday, August 26, 2024. This adjustment was made to avoid a conflict with Isese Day, a public holiday in Oyo State.

Isese Day, celebrated every year on August 20, is dedicated to honoring the rich cultural heritage of the Yoruba people, focusing on the preservation of traditional practices and beliefs. This day holds great significance, especially for followers of the Yoruba traditional religion.
