Florentino Perez is ready to go all in for Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise. The Real Madrid president will launch a club-record €150 million offer if he wins re-election on Sunday.
Perez has made no secret of his admiration for the French international. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Perez is “seriously in love” with the 24-year-old. The deal would be the most expensive signing in Real Madrid’s 124-year history.
The announcement has thrown the summer transfer window into chaos. It also sets up a direct confrontation with Bayern Munich, which have declared Olise untouchable.
Perez announced his intention on Spanish television on Thursday. He said he would table a huge offer for a mystery Champions League star.
“I’m going to make an offer to a Champions League club soon, on Tuesday, which will be the biggest payment Real Madrid would have made for a player in their history, €150 million at least,” Perez said.

The president then named players he was not targeting. He listed Jeremy Doku, Erling Haaland, Harry Kane and, notably, Michael Olise.
Yet multiple reports now confirm that Olise is exactly the player he meant. The Telegraph and Fabrizio Romano both report that Perez’s denial was a smokescreen.
Jose Mourinho, set to become Madrid’s manager if Perez wins, has made it clear he wants Olise. The Portuguese coach was seen at the German Cup final in Berlin last month, sparking the first wave of speculation.

Bayern dig In for fight
Bayern Munich have rejected any possibility of a sale.
Honorary president Uli Hoeness delivered a blunt response to the speculation. “He can cast five eyes on Olise: he won’t get him. He remains unsellable,” Hoeness said. Sporting director Max Eberl has been equally firm.
Eberl also confirmed there is no release clause in Olise’s contract. The Frenchman is tied to Bayern until 2029 with no buyout option.
The election factor
Perez faces re-election on Sunday. His main challenger, Enrique Riquelme, has promised to sign Erling Haaland if he wins.
Perez’s €150 million Olise pledge is widely seen as a direct response. It is a classic Florentino tactic: promise a Galactico to secure votes.
If Perez wins, the offer will be submitted on Tuesday. Bayern have already stated their refusal. But Madrid’s president has never backed down from a fight for a player he truly wants.
