2Face baby mama, Pero Adeniyi slams N500m lawsuit on Annie Idibia

Pero Adeniyi, the ex-lover and mother to Nigerian singer, Innocent Idibia aka 2Face’s three children, has slammed a ₦500 million lawsuit on the musician’s wife, Annie Idibia.

In the lawsuit dated November 10, 2021, Pero Adeniyi, sued sued Annie for defamation of character and also demanded an apology and a compensation for the emotional distress, damages, embarrassment and shame suffered due to the malicious and defamatory publication against her by Annie.

Annie Idibia had reportedly accused her husband, 2Face of sleeping at Pero’s house, thereby disrespecting her and their marriage.

However, Pero Adeniyi, through her lawyers, Okonjo Odiawa & Ebi, described Annie’s outburst on Instagram as malicious claims and disparaging and false information.

She claimed that Annie’s outburst on her Instagram page subjected her to online bullying from Annie’s fans and supporters.

The 43-year-old mother of three maintained that she and 2Face had nothing but a “civil parental relationship”, adding that she was in a relationship with someone else.

Part of the suit reads:

“Re: Malicious and Libelous Online Publication against Pero Adeniyi’

“It is our instruction to demand that you immediately and completely retract all your allegations by the same measure with which they were published and publicly tender your unreserved apology to our client, not later than 72 hours from your receipt of this letter.

“Additionally, our client demands compensation in the sum of N500,000,000.00 (Five Hundred Million Naira) for personal injury, reputational damage, embarrassment, shame and emotional distress suffered as a result of your malicious, libelous and defamatory publications against her, within the same period stipulated above.”

The development is coming after Annie apologized to her family and the Idibias for breaking their heart. Annie, on a lengthy post on her 37th birthday, said she allowed her emotions cloud her into making bad decisions.

In the post, the mother of two wrote:

“It’s a brand new chapter for me. And I would really love to start it on a clean slate. This year has been a lot …so many blessings and pain.

“My hands are shaking as I type this. I let a lot of people down, especially the people close to me. The last 10 weeks have been the worst of my entire life. Yes, the worst since I was born. I have gone from being so angry to being so broken and back to anger.

“And then sadly, which I am ashamed to admit, suicidal! I have acted so badly in a way I am not proud of. allowed my emotions to cloud me. I allowed my emotions to lead me into making bad decisions; allowed my anger and emotions to make me act on something that’s wasn’t true cos I was kept in dark!”
