The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has commenced its inaugural Insurance Sensitization Programme, holding the maiden editions at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Nasarawa State Commands.
The initiative is a strategic move by the police leadership to reinforce the welfare and financial security of its personnel.
The sensitization exercise, which saw attendance from officers across all Area Commands and Divisions in both states, aims to inform police personnel about the various financial protection schemes available to them.
During the lecture, ACP Ameh Lydia, the Force Insurance Officer, detailed the different insurance and welfare packages.

These schemes collectively ensure that officers and their families are protected financially in the event of accidents, injuries, or death while in active service.
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to the well-being of police personnel.
He stated that the Insurance Sensitisation programme aligns with his vision to cultivate a police force that is “motivated, secure, and future-conscious.”
