Controversial Nigerian artiste Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has called out fellow singer Zlatan Ibile for keeping quiet about the death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27, under troubling circumstances. Reports claim he received treatment from an unlicensed nurse before he died, sparking widespread public concern.
After his death, an old video clip surfaced showing a disturbing scene on a music video set where Sam Larry—an associate of Mohbad’s former label boss, Naira Marley—was seen harassing Mohbad. Zlatan was reportedly present during the altercation but has not commented publicly about the incident.
Tension escalated online after a recent interview between Sam Larry and social media personality VeryDarkMan (VDM). Many fans began urging Zlatan to speak up, especially since he was allegedly an eyewitness.
According to online claims, Zlatan told fans that his mother advised him to stay away from the matter to avoid negative publicity.

Meanwhile, VeryDarkMan has intensified efforts to uncover the truth behind Mohbad’s death. In a statement on Instagram, VDM announced that he is conducting his own investigation into the matter.
He pledged a ₦10 million reward to anyone who can provide additional footage from the music video shoot where Mohbad and Zlatan were seen sitting in a wheelchair, and Sam Larry entered the scene with a group of men.
“10 million naira to anyone who can give me more scenes of the music video set where mohbad and zlatan sat on the wheel chair and samlarry came inside with some group of boys,” he wrote.
Additionally, he offered ₦2 million to any of the women seen in the video who are willing to come forward and share their account of what happened.
