Nigeria’s Falconets produced a commanding performance to defeat the Black Princesses of Ghana 3–0 to secure the WAFU B U-20 Girls Championship title in Benin Republic.
The result capped a flawless campaign for Moses Aduku’s side, who maintained their perfect record throughout the tournament.
The match, played at the Stade Omnisport d’Adjohoun, showcased the Falconets’ dominance and attacking flair.
Having already beaten Ghana 3–1 in the group stage, the Nigerians once again proved their superiority with a clinical display that left their West African rivals chasing shadows.
The Falconets were two goals up before the 25th minute.

Blessing Akekoromowei opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a composed finish, before Alaba Olabiyi doubled the advantage just seven minutes later after a swift attacking move that split Ghana’s defence apart.

Kareem seals title as Falconets extend perfect run
After the break, Ramotalahi Kareem added a third on the hour mark to seal the victory and underline Nigeria’s dominance. The Falconets controlled possession, pressed intelligently, and defended resolutely to keep anothet clean sheet, leaving the Black Princesses with little room to respond.
With the win, Nigeria finished with nine points and a remarkable +8 goal difference, having scored three goals in each of their three matches. The Falconets had earlier beaten Ghana on Saturday 3-1.
The team’s consistency in both attack and defence showed the tactical discipline instilled by coach Moses Aduku, who praised his players’ determination and teamwork throughout the competition.
Despite Ghana’s efforts to rally late in the game, they found no breakthrough against Nigeria’s compact defensive line and well-organised midfield.
Nigeria will next face the Young Amazons of Benin in their final fixture, but the Falconets have already been crowned champions after a truly dominant campaign.
