Nollywood star Mercy Johnson has hinted at revealing her side of the story following a wave of online drama stirred by allegations concerning her health.
The controversy began when actress Angela Okorie, during a live Instagram session earlier today, claimed that Mercy Johnson was battling a serious illness. She used the opportunity to urge Mercy to seek forgiveness from people she may have wronged in the past.
Her comments quickly drew backlash from fans and celebrities alike, with many criticizing the timing and tone of her message. Among those who responded strongly was Regina Daniels, who took to Instagram to defend Mercy and call out Angela for her remarks.
Regina wrote: “I’m sorry and with all due respect, aunty Angela you dey m@d! Abeg no forgive because for this side, we no dey forgive. continue and whilst at it, no forget say she get pikin wey gidigba. No dey shalaye!!!”
She condemned Angela’s choice of words, stating that it was wrong to speak carelessly about someone who is a mother, especially considering her children might come across such damaging content. Regina also implied that Angela’s behavior reflected a lack of good upbringing and sensitivity.
In a sharp rebuttal, Angela Okorie fired back at Regina, referencing their past interactions and the age difference between Regina and her husband.
“You are like a child to me… you used to come to my house with your mum… I thought you were sensible enough to marry a man of your age,” she said.

“You feel because you married a grandpa you can talk to me? If you insult me again, I will remind you what you have forgotten,” she added.
