Relationship: When do you stop watering dead plants?

A lot of young Nigerians enjoy putting in the work in a dead relationship. People continually invest time, emotions and energy into a relationship that has since fizzled out.

When is the ideal time to desist from watering a dead relationship?

When a relationship ends, everyone understand that it hurts.

However, in life, all beautiful things must come to an end; the morning will always give way for the stars to shine at night.

It is quintessential for people to know when to let go and simply let God.

As time goes on, people need to train their minds to be stern and apathetic towards desiring the things of the past.

The latter days will always be better than the former, why are you still watering dead plants?

When a relationship ends, one needs to come to terms with reality.

It is pivotal for people to note that genuine desire can never be negotiated.

Your time and session with your partner are over, regardless of the emotional and financial investment, the relationship has unfortunately ended abruptly.

It is alright to check up on your former partner every once a while; perhaps on their birthdays or during festive seasons.

Aside from these aforementioned moments; let them go, they are doing well with or without you, thanks to God for their lives, mind your business and keep it moving.

Desist from pursuing the ghost of your previous relationship or escapades.

You had your time; you did whatever you had to do at the time; thereā€™s nothing new to experience in this moment.

Itā€™s tedious but you have to forgive yourself and give yourself the opportunity to move into the next phase and chapter of your life.

Stop chasing those who already shut you out of their lives.

I know it is tedious to let go; albeit, trying to rekindle what is long gone would ruin a lot of things sooner than later.

Itā€™s gone, itā€™s gone, open your arms and embrace the newbies God is bringing your way.
