United States President Donald Trump has drawn attention online after publicly praising rapper and singer Nicki Minaj during a luncheon held at the White House Rose Garden on Monday.
In a video from the event that has since circulated widely on social media, Trump introduced the award-winning artiste to attendees, commending her talent, popularity and support while also offering a personal compliment.
“We also have a woman that is respected and so hot. She is such a great friend, a fantastic person, a woman that is respected by everybody, and she’s got real talent; we have Nicki Minaj”, the president said.

Minaj later reacted to the moment on X, sharing photos from the event and expressing her admiration for the president.
“Whoa! #WhiteHouseBarbie with her favorite President of all time!”
The appearance adds to the growing public association between the rapper and Trump. Earlier this year, Minaj was spotted alongside the president at the Trump Accounts Summit in Washington, where she described herself as “probably the president’s number one fan” and said she was unconcerned about criticism or public reactions to her support.
The exchange has since generated widespread discussion online, with supporters and critics weighing in on the remarks and the pair’s growing public relationship.
