Vice President Kashim Shettima, has commissioned a power infrastructure project executed by the Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited (NDPHC) at Borno State University, Maiduguri.
The event took place shortly after he inaugurated the National Asset Restoration Programme led by the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) at the Borno State Agricultural Mechanisation (BOSAMA) Farm Centre.

The newly commissioned project includes a 1×7.5MVA, 33/11KV injection substation, a 3km 33KV line, a 2.5km 11KV line, a 2.5km low-tension (LT) line, and three 500KVA distribution transformers.
Implemented under NDPHC’s Distribution Intervention Projects, the initiative is expected to significantly enhance electricity supply to the university and surrounding communities.
Both projects align with President Bola Tinubu’s administration’s broader infrastructure development agenda aimed at stimulating economic growth nationwide.
