Popular social media influencer Martins Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has reacted to claims by reality TV star Phyna, who described him as a “Very Dirty Boy” and accused him of playing a role in the breakdown of her relationship with actress Iyabo Ojo.
Phyna had earlier alleged that her close association with VeryDarkMan caused tension between her and Iyabo Ojo, eventually leading to their fallout.
Responding publicly, VeryDarkMan expressed disappointment over the accusation, insisting that his relationship with Phyna was built on genuine support and had no hidden motives.
He stated that he stood by the former Big Brother Naija winner at different points in her career, including helping to promote her movie projects on social media and offering advice on personal and professional matters.
According to him, he remained available whenever Phyna reached out, whether she needed guidance, paid promotional services, or assistance with family-related issues, adding that he often listened and helped without expecting anything in return.

VDM questioned what he stood to gain from the relationship, stressing that his actions were driven by loyalty and goodwill rather than self-interest.
Touching on past disagreements, the influencer suggested that greed and certain decisions eventually affected the relationship, noting that several individuals who once supported and promoted Phyna have since withdrawn as public attention around her declined.
He ended his response on a calm note, stating that he harbours no resentment and genuinely wishes Phyna success in her future endeavours.
