Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, has accused popular artiste Wizkid of adopting a nickname he says he had long used before the Grammy-winning star.
Kuti made the allegation during a recent livestream after a Wizkid fan suggested that he should stop using the nickname “Big Bird,” arguing that Wizkid is known as “Biggest Bird.”
Responding to the comment, Seun Kuti dismissed the suggestion and insisted that the nickname had been associated with him long before Wizkid began using a similar title. He advised the fan to instead ask Wizkid to be more creative.

According to him, he has no intention of changing his nickname, stressing that there is no competition involved.
“Wizkid stole my name. Tell your fave to be original. Why are you telling me to change my name? Sorry, I can’t change it. This name has been here since. I am the first to come up with it. I am not dragging it with anybody, please,” he said.
