Tems, J Balvin, and Doja Cat to headline first-ever FIFA Club World Cup final Halftime Show

Nigerian singer and songwriter Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, will perform at the first-ever FIFA Club World Cup final Halftime Show.

The 29-year-old global music icon will perform alongside American rapper Doja Cat an Colombian singer J Balvin.

The trio will headline the monumental event on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at MetLife Stadium in New York, New Jersey.

Also, FIFA confirmed that one dollar from every ticket sold for the tournament matches will be donated to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. It is a bold initiative aimed at raising $100 million to improve access to quality education and football for children around the world.

World unity through football and music

FIFA President Gianni Infantino emphasised that the Halftime Show will not only unite the world through football and music but also shape a better future for millions of young dreamers.

Meanwhile, J Balvin expressed deep pride in representing Latin culture on such a grand stage. He called the opportunity a “historic moment” not just for him but for every dreamer worldwide.

Nigerian sensation Tems echoed similar sentiments. She promised a performance that celebrates unity and supports education through the Global Citizen cause.

Adding even more glamour to the show, Doja Cat will return to the Global Citizen stage, following her past performances at major events like the Global Citizen Festival in Central Park and Global Citizen LIVE in Paris.

The new FIFA Club World Cup, which runs from June 14 to July 13, 2025, will see 32 of the world’s top clubs battle for glory across 12 venues in 11 American cities.

As anticipation grows, FIFA and Global Citizen have also confirmed that the partnership will extend to the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show.
