Hamburger SV have completed the signing of Nigerian striker Terem Moffi from OGC Nice on a permanent transfer.
The 27-year-old Super Eagles forward has signed a three-year contract that runs until 2029. He will wear the No. 9 shirt and becomes the club’s seventh addition of the summer transfer window.
Moffi underwent his medical examinations at the Athleticum at Volkspark over the weekend before putting pen to paper. The move marks the first time the Nigerian will play in the Bundesliga, adding to a career that has already taken him to six other countries.
Born on May 25, 1999, in Calabar, Nigeria, Moffi moved to England at 17 to join Buckswood Football Academy. His professional journey began in Lithuania with FK Kauno Žalgiris and FK Riteriai. He then moved to Belgium’s KV Kortrijk in January 2020 before joining French side FC Lorient later that year. OGC Nice signed him in early 2023. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Portuguese champions FC Porto, where he scored two goals in 15 appearances.

Across all clubs, Moffi has recorded 88 goals and 13 assists in 228 competitive appearances. He has been a Nigerian international since 2021, making 23 appearances for the Super Eagles and scoring six goals.
The transfer fee is reported to be around €2.5 million, including bonuses. Moffi is expected to make his debut for Hamburg in the upcoming Bundesliga season.
