Tinubu congratulates retired CJN, Olukayode Ariwoola

President Bola Tinubu has extended his congratulations to Justice Olukayode Ariwoola upon his retirement as Chief Justice of Nigeria, marking the end of a distinguished career in public service.

In a statement, Tinubu’s spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, highlighted Justice Ariwoola’s extensive judicial career, which began with his service on the Court of Appeal in Kaduna, Enugu, and Lagos divisions before his elevation to the Supreme Court in 2011.

Sworn in as Chief Justice of Nigeria in 2022, Justice Ariwoola has significantly contributed to the judiciary and the legal system.

President Tinubu praised Justice Ariwoola for his impactful leadership and contributions to Nigerian jurisprudence, acknowledging his role in fortifying the legal framework of the nation. 

He expressed gratitude for Justice Ariwoola’s service and wished him well in his future endeavours.

President Tinubu is scheduled to swear in Justice Ariwoola’s successor at the State House Council Chambers on 23 August.
