“I understand the budget arithmetic and the figures I presented to the National Assembly, as well as what came back. I commend all of you for expediting the budget process. Thank you very much. Those alleging malicious budget embellishments failed to grasp the arithmetic or reference the baseline of my proposals. Nevertheless, your integrity remains intact.

“I am grateful for your efforts. The challenges we face will soon be overcome. Regarding the current economic hardships, we are on the verge of a turnaround. Our revenue has improved. All we need to do is control expenditure and enhance our management,” said the President.

President Tinubu expressed appreciation to the National Assembly for promptly addressing the Student Loan Amendment Bill, urging increased tolerance, forgiveness, and charity during Ramadan.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio lauded Tinubu for hosting the lawmakers, emphasising that regular interactions would promote understanding and effective governance.

“We convey greetings from the 10th Senate and assurances of continued collaboration because we strongly believe that having two brothers from the National Assembly as President and Vice-President, and even the Chief of Staff as our member, leaves us no choice but to collaborate and strive for the success of this administration,” noted Akpabio.
