Tinubu departs for Netherlands tomorrow

President Bola Tinubu will on 23 April embark on an official visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands from Abuja. 

According to Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s visit comes at the invitation of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte.

During his visit, President Tinubu will participate in high-level discussions with Prime Minister Rutte and hold separate meetings with His Royal Majesty, King Willem-Alexander, and Queen Maxima of the Kingdom.

Queen Maxima serves as the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA).

In addition to these engagements, President Tinubu will take part in the Nigerian-Dutch Business and Investment Forum, aimed at fostering collaboration and partnerships between conglomerates and organizations from both countries, particularly in agriculture and water management for sustainable farming practices.

Furthermore, discussions will focus on port management operations, leveraging the Dutch expertise in the field.

Following his visit to the Netherlands, President Tinubu will attend a special World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting scheduled for April 28-29 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

At the WEF meeting, themed ‘Global Collaboration, Growth, and Energy for Development’, President Tinubu and his delegation will engage in discussions aligning with his Renewed Hope Agenda for the country, alongside over 1,000 leaders from business, government, and academia.

The President will be accompanied by several ministers and senior government officials during his travels.
