“His steadfastness throughout the party’s metamorphosis and final transition to the All Progressives Congress (APC) exemplifies his loyalty, dedication, and commitment”, President Tinubu said.

Aiyedatiwa assumed office as the Deputy Governor of Ondo State in 2021. By a twist of fate, he rose to the position of Acting Governor and, in 2023, was officially sworn in as Governor, succeeding his mentor, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

Highlighting Aiyedatiwa’s remarkable political journey, President Tinubu described it as a testament to the opportunities and potential inherent in Nigerian politics.

The President further commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for his historic landslide electoral victory in 2024, a mandate that has enabled him to advance critical sectors like health and education, significantly improving the quality of life for citizens.

President Tinubu also acknowledged Governor Aiyedatiwa’s impactful contributions during his tenure as a Commissioner representing Ondo State at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

He eemphasied his invaluable role in grassroots development and his efforts in strengthening the institution to fulfill its mission effectively.

As Governor Aiyedatiwa celebrates this milestone, President Tinubu extended his heartfelt prayers for divine blessings, wishing him good health, wisdom, and longevity to continue serving the people.
