President Bola Tinubu has praised Nigerian music stars who won awards at the 9th All Africa Music Awards, saying their success shows Nigeria’s growing power in African and global music.
In a statement released on Thursday, January 15, 2026, through his media aide, the President said the achievements of the artistes showed the strong talent, creativity and effort within Nigeria’s music scene.
He noted that their victories brought pride to the country and lifted Nigeria’s image across Africa and beyond.
Tinubu said the award wins went beyond trophies, as the artistes helped spread Nigerian culture, gave voice to young people and strengthened the country’s creative identity.
He urged them to keep using their gifts to promote unity, inspire hope and support the growth of the creative economy and national development.
