President Bola Tinubu has extended warm congratulations to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on the occasion of his 60th birthday, commending him for his unwavering dedication to the growth and transformation of the state.
The message was conveyed in a statement issued on Wednesday by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
In the birthday tribute, Tinubu praised Sanwo-Olu as a loyal and effective public servant who has faithfully advanced the developmental vision set for Lagos.
“Your execution of this vision is exemplified by landmark achievements, including completing the Blue and Red Rail lines and the ongoing preparations for the Purple Line, which will serve the vital Lekki corridor,” Tinubu said.
He also encouraged the governor to maintain his development momentum by prioritising high-impact projects that will benefit residents of Lagos.

“I urge you to sustain this trajectory by prioritising impactful projects for Lagosians, notably the long-awaited Fourth Mainland Bridge and the Freedom Way to Victoria Garden City (VGC) Road,” he added.
President Tinubu wished Sanwo-Olu continued good health and many more years of meaningful service to both Lagos State and the nation.
The statement further reflected on Sanwo-Olu’s political journey, noting that he began his public service career under Tinubu’s leadership and served in various key positions, including Commissioner in different ministries and Managing Director of the Lagos State Property Development Corporation.
