President Bola Tinubu has inducted two Augusta 109 S Trekker helicopters into the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) fleet.
Tinubu was represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima at the induction ceremony, which took place at the Presidential Air Fleet (PAF) Hangar of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
The induction marked a notable step in strengthening Nigeria’s aerial defence capabilities.

According to the Nigerian Air Force, the newly acquired Augusta 109 S Trekker helicopters would enhance the force’s tactical air operations and improve rapid response to security threats across the country.
The addition of the aircraft comes amid ongoing efforts to modernise and reposition the armed forces for more effective internal security operations.
