President Bola Tinubu expressed his condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Jimi Solanke, Nigeria’s creative icon, who passed away on Monday at 81 year old.
Tinubu, through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, conveyed his sorrow upon hearing the news.
Solanke, known for his roles as an actor, dramatist, folk singer, poet, and playwright, was mourned by President Tinubu as a literary and cultural virtuoso.

Tinubu described the late actor as one of Nigeria’s finest creative artists and a guardian of our cherished cultural heritage.
He offered prayers for the peaceful repose of the departed soul.
