President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his commitment to working tirelessly for Nigeria’s peace and stability, emphasising the importance of both diligence and prayer in governance.
Speaking to reporters on Friday after a special Juma’ah prayer session at the National Mosque in Abuja, he expressed gratitude to God for granting him the grace to witness his 73rd birthday.
President Tinubu, who turns 73 on March 29, stated that the security and welfare of Nigerians remain his top priorities.
“I feel good. I feel happy. I thank the Almighty Allah, who has protected us and continues to answer our prayers,” President Tinubu said.
“We have prayed for our country, for the stability and peace of the nation, and for Almighty Allah to safeguard our people and all citizens.”
Highlighting the key message from the sermon, the President underscored the importance of dedication and faith.

“The word for all of us is hard work. You work harder, and you pray harder. That’s the inspiration I got from today’s sermon,” he added.
The special prayer session was led by Abdulkadir Salman Solagberu, the Malami Ubandoma of Ilorin Emirate, along with other clerics.
Solagberu assured President Tinubu of continued prayers for his health, strength, and wisdom in steering the country’s affairs.
He emphasised that sustained prayers for national peace and stability would contribute to the well-being and progress of citizens.
Professor Muhammad Kabir Adam, the Imam of the National Mosque, extended appreciation to President Tinubu and the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, for their charitable efforts in supporting the poor during Ramadan.
He encouraged Muslims to maintain their prayers for the President and the nation while continuing to extend goodwill to the less privileged.
“Mr. President, Allah is with you, and you will succeed,” Prof. Adam said.
The Juma’ah prayer was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, ministers, Service Chiefs, and members of the President’s family.
