President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm Christmas greetings to Nigerians and Christians worldwide, calling for peace, unity, and religious tolerance as the nation celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ.
In his 2025 Christmas goodwill message, President Tinubu emphasized the importance of reflecting on the significance of Christ’s birth and his message of grace, hope, and goodwill to humanity.
He wished all Christians in Nigeria and across the globe a Merry Christmas, while praying for peace among people of differing religious beliefs.
The President reaffirmed his commitment to religious freedom in Nigeria, stressing that no one, regardless of ethnicity or faith, should suffer for practising their religion. He highlighted the contributions of Christians to national development, noting their efforts in caring for the vulnerable, promoting harmony, and fostering tolerance in communities.
“Since I assumed office in 2023, I have continually reassured Nigerians of our unyielding commitment to safeguarding the security, unity, and stability of our nation,” President Tinubu said. “All Nigerians have the right to live, worship, and pursue their aspirations in safety and dignity.”

President Tinubu also disclosed that he has engaged with leaders of Nigeria’s two major faiths throughout the year to strengthen collaboration between government and religious institutions, prevent conflict, and promote peaceful coexistence.
As Nigerians travel to reunite with loved ones during the holiday season, the President urged citizens to exercise patience and maintain discipline on the roads, wishing all travellers a safe journey.
Closing his message, President Tinubu expressed confidence in divine providence and collective national strength to continue building a greater Nigeria that future generations will be proud of. He wished all Nigerians a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year in advance.
