Tunde Onakoya, Nigerian chess master prepares to set Guinness World Records

Tunde Onakoya, a renowned chess master and influencer has disclosed his intention to set the Guinness World Record for the Longest Chess Marathon without losing a game for 58 hours, in New York.

Tunde Onakoya who has helped popularize the game of chess in the slums across Lagos state and other notable parts of the country made the announcement via his official Twitter (otherwise known as X) on Friday, April 12.

The foremost influencer stated that the exercise is scheduled to commence on Wednesday, April 17.

Taking to the Microblogging site, Twitter, Onakoya wrote,

“On the 17th of April 2024, I will attempt to break the Guiness World record for the longest Chess marathon in the heart of Times Square New York City for 58 hours without losing a game.

He stated further, “Doing this for the dreams of millions of children across Africa without access to education.”

His announcement on social media has continued to receive predominantly positive remark and applause from pundits online.
