Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to strengthen grassroots engagement and deepen internal unity as part of efforts to sustain the party’s influence and organisational strength.
He made the appeal during a high-level stakeholders’ meeting held at the APC State Secretariat in Owerri, where party leaders reviewed strategies aimed at consolidating gains in governance and reinforcing long-term political stability.
A major focus of the meeting was the need to reinforce the party’s structure from the ground up.
Uzodimma stressed that the APC’s continued relevance and effectiveness depend largely on strong mobilisation at the polling unit level, which must then cascade through the wards and local government areas up to the state leadership.
He maintained that unity of purpose and institutional cohesion remain essential pillars for sustaining political strengt..
He added that the party continues to represent a platform of hope for citizens seeking responsive and purposeful leadership.

The governor also restated his administration’s commitment to the Charter of Equity, describing it as a key framework for promoting fairness and balance across the state’s political and governance structures.
According to him, the initiative is designed to ensure: fairness and justice in the distribution of political opportunities and resources, inclusive representation across all segments of the state and lasting peace and stability, anchored on what he described as the collective interest of the people.
