Galatasaray Women have confirmed the contract extension of Nigerian defender Tosin Demehin following her debut season, consolidating their defence ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Demehin joined the Turkish club from Stade de Reims in September 2024. She made 26 appearances, scored once, and contributed to Galatasaray’s fourth-place league finish.
Her performances have been central to Galatasaray’s qualification for their first-ever UEFA Women’s Champions League.
At international level, she featured in every match at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. Nigeria secured their 10th title with her in defence.

The extension, announced between August 19 and 21, 2025, secured her for the coming season. Club officials described it as part of ambitions for domestic and continental progress.
Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa also awarded her ₦30 million and a house in recognition of her contribution to Nigeria’s victory.
The precise duration of the new deal was not disclosed. However, reports suggested a one-year extension aligned with her initial agreement on arrival in Turkey.
Galatasaray Women will begin the new season with expectations of advancing further in Europe. Demehin remains a cornerstone of that pursuit.
