West Ham United have confirmed the departure of head coach Graham Potter after a disappointing run of results in recent months.
The Hammers struggled badly in the second half of last season, and their poor start to the 2025/26 campaign intensified board concerns.
As a result, club directors decided a managerial change was unavoidable to improve the team’s Premier League position as quickly as possible.
Potter’s exit also saw the departures of his trusted assistants Bruno Saltor, Billy Reid, Narcis Pelach, and goalkeeper coaches Casper Ankergren and Linus Kandolin.
Although the club thanked the outgoing staff for their efforts, officials stressed that performances had consistently fallen below expectations.

Former Wolves and Tottenham boss Nuno Espírito Santo has agreed to take over at the London Stadium with immediate effect. The Portuguese manager is expected to be in the dugout for Monday’s clash against Everton.
Nuno, who previously guided Wolves, and most recently Nottingham Forest, to European football, arrives with a reputation for discipline, structure, and strong defensive organisation.
His appointment signals West Ham’s intent to stabilise quickly and avoid a prolonged relegation battle this season.
Meanwhile, Kyle Macauley, a key member of Potter’s recruitment team, has also left following the managerial shake-up.
The board has assured supporters that further announcements will follow, but for now, all focus is on Monday’s crucial match.
