Nigerian singer Skales has criticised socialite Cubana Chief Priest for linking the recent Palm Sunday killings in Plateau State to political motives.
The attack, which occurred on March 29, 2026, in Gari Ya Waye community, Angwan Rukuba in Jos, left several residents dead and sparked widespread reactions across the country.
In response to the incident, Cubana Chief Priest, known for his support of President Bola Tinubu, suggested that the timing of the attack, which coincided with the President’s birthday, was orchestrated by opposition figures to tarnish his image.

Skales, however, strongly disagreed with this claim, expressing outrage over what he described as an insensitive interpretation of a tragic event. He questioned the socialite’s sense of empathy and accused him of prioritising political loyalty over human lives.
While reacting, Skales said, “This guy is delusional. I can’t believe he said that. Life’s lost and all you care about is the President being embarrassed. I cannot believe you sat down and wrote this shit. Where is your conscience. You have kids don’t you?”
