Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba has shared a fresh account of the events that led to his late son calling off his planned marriage to Cynthia Adebanjo.
His statement followed a viral audio involving the young woman, who had earlier claimed to be pregnant for the singer.
In a fresh statement, he explained that there was never a traditional wedding and that he only took part in an introduction ceremony.
According to him, he went for the introduction because Cynthia had said she was expecting a child for Mohbad, and he felt it was proper to meet her family.

He said he attended with a friend and was surprised to see that clothes had already been prepared for him even though no one took his measurements.
He recalled seeing many members of the lady’s family at the venue and meeting the man introduced as her father for the first time.
The introduction was completed, but he said he later heard claims that a full traditional wedding took place without his knowledge.
He questioned how such an event could have happened without the family head and wondered who took the bride price.
He also revealed that Mohbad later changed his mind about the marriage after accusing Cynthia of being with another man.
Mohbad reportedly shared this with his friend Myson, his elder sibling, his mother, and eventually with him.
This, he said, was the reason the wedding plans ended.
Mohbad’s father added that this situation is one of the reasons he is calling for a DNA test to confirm the child’s paternity.
He said: “When my son was alive and Cynthia claimed to be pregnant, I felt it was necessary to meet her family properly.
“When we got to the venue, I saw a lot of the lady’s family members sitting there. We completed the introduction, and I met my son’s father-in-law for the first time.
“But I’m shocked to hear claims that a traditional wedding happened without my knowledge or even the presence of the family head. Who collected the bride price?
“He said he caught her with another man, informed his friend Myson and his elder sibling and mother, and then decided to tell me. That was why he called off the marriage plans.
“And that is one of the reasons why I’m asking for DNA.”
